DAY 1. ZAGREB - ARRIVAL
arrivalUpon arrival to Zagreb airport you will be transferred to your centrally located hotel. In the afternoon sightseeing of Zagreb with local guide, visiting fortified Upper Town, the city's historical centre, St Mark's Church with its multicoloured roof, the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theatre and the University. Rest of the day at leisure; enjoy Croatian capital on your own. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 2. CASTLES OF ZAGREB SURROUNDINGS

Morning drive (app. 2 hrs) into the heart of forested region of Zagorje area, this morning you will visit Trakošćan Castle, a beautifully preserved, 12th century building containing fine collection of original furnishings from the Drašković family who occupied the castle until the early 20th century. Afterwards enjoy lunch in Grešna Gorica, placed on the hill opposite to Veliki Tabor, offering typical Zagorje meals in an idyllic atmosphere. Grešna Gorica offers as well animal farm: watching dears, hares, turkeys, feeding the animals - visiting the wine cellar - getting to know about the tradition of growing vineyards and wine making as well wine tasting. Lunch at this farm restaurant will be definitely something different and whole new experience. Later you will visit Kumrovec, an ethno–village on the banks of the river SUTLA, a place acquainted with architecture and folklore heritage. Kumrovec was the birth place of Marshal Josip Broz Tito (1892-1980), the president of former Yugoslavia.

DAY 3. ZAGREB – PLITVICE

Morning ride toward national park of Plitvice (app 3 hrs). Upon arrival sightseeing tour of the 16 crystal-blue lakes connected by 92 waterfalls. The majestic and pristine waters have attracted visitors for centuries. Walk on the wooden promenades to view majestic and pristine waters where every turn leads you to breathtaking scenery and yet another waterfall. After the breathtaking tour of Plitvice Lake, we recommend lunch or dinner at Lička kuća, a typical restaurant with specialties cooked under iron bell which is covered with hot coals. Here you can try meat prepared in traditional way, and great Lika's cheese. You will spend great time in wonderful ambient, after long day enjoying in Plitvice National Park.

DAY 4. PLITVICE - ZADAR - TROGIR - SPLIT

Morning departure to Zadar (app. 2 hrs drive) town of beauty and antiquity, once one of the most powerful on the Dalmatian coast. Tour Zadar and see the influence of Romanesque art, sightseeing will include the Roman Forum from the 1st century, St. Donatus Church from the 9th century, magnificent monument of Romanesque architecture, trademark of the city, and Cathedral of St. Anastasia. Despite its turbulent past, Zadar succeeded to preserve its heritage, between the 11th and the 14th century the golden age of art and culture that flourished behind the protective walls of the city. Continue along the Adriatic coast line to Trogir, the city with 2300 years of tradition. Its rich culture developed under the influence of Greeks, Romans and Venetians. Trogir's grandest building is the church of St. Lawrence, whose main west portal is a masterpiece by Radovan, and the most significant work of the Romanesque-Gothic style in Croatia. Some free time for lunch on your own in Trogir.
Continue to Split for overnight.
DAY 5. SPLIT
split Breakfast at hotel, morning sightseeing of Split with local guide covering the Diocletian's Palace on the UNESCO's List of World Cultural Heritage with the Peristyle, the Jupiter's Temple and the Cathedral. Split is the handiwork of seventeen centuries of men and women building and remodelling, adding and tearing down and touching up, so that eighteenth-century houses intersect with ancient Roman walls and fourth-century chambers house twentieth-century apartments. At the core of this sprawling city is the palace that Emperor Diocletian built for his golden years at the turn of the fourth century. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the beauty of this ancient city. We can recommend you some of the local restaurants to taste delicious Mediterranean specialties.

DAY 6. SPLIT - DUBROVNIK
split2Breakfast at hotel, morning drive (app. 4 hrs drives) to Adriatic pearl - Dubrovnik. Drive along the Adriatic coast line and Makarska Riviera with nice long beaches. On the way to Dubrovnik we will make a stop for the lunch in Ston. Ston is well known for its oyster production as well as for its salt works in the near vicinity that produce sea salt for centuries. Today you will have the opportunity to taste delicious oysters and mussels in one of the local restaurants. Afterwards continue toward Dubrovnik. After arrival to Dubrovnik check into hotel, evening at leisure. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 7. DUBROVNIK
Breakfast at hotel. Morning sightseeing of Dubrovnik, our local guide will take you for panoramic view of Dubrovnik followed by walking tour of the old town. You will visit the Franciscan Monastery with Europe's third oldest pharmacy, the Rector's Palace and the Cathedral. The old city of Dubrovnik remained basically unchanged since the thirteenth century. Its medieval ramparts encircle the city which can be entered through two main gates, crossing a stone bridge under the watchful gaze of the city's patron saint, Blaise. Main street of the old city is called Stradun or Placa, and is the city's main artery, lined with graceful stone palazzos where people both work and live.
"Those who seek paradise on earth", George Bernard Shaw once wrote, "should come to Dubrovnik." Rest of the day at leisure; enjoy the beauty of Adriatic pearl.
Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 8. DUBROVNIK - DEPARTURE
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
